Tomorrow is the members’ preview of the Marcel Duchamp retrospective at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. My ass is going to be there! Low-key, I cannot try to explain why I am obsessed with the guy. I admire how he changed art with a urinal and how he quit art to become a chess master. He really is an icon. I also like how his works spark arguments in comment sections, and people lose all their chill because they refuse to read about his work, like the Bicycle Wheel.
Also, I am checking out Dorothea Tanning’s painting Birthday that she painted in 1942. Per my art history professor’s recommendation in class, to check out her work. To be fair, it is a very interesting painting.
Other things to look at, but these things are the most important.
